The days without you
I stood by the window
And cried
Because you’re never coming back

It was raining when you left me
on that particular night
I told you even god is crying
Don’t leave me
But you said that there’ll be a rainbow after rain
I’ll meet happiness once again after the pain

But the rainbow was white
The colours were gone
just like the way you had left me
I wrapped myself in your favorite black jacket
And walked down the grey streets
the world, my world
reduced to this colourless and dull state
I never asked for

The wind continued to blow
The strains on our faces could be seen
Yet you were smiling all so happily
it was all that I need

Flashbacks told me
You held my hand, ever so tightly
the night you left
I was in your embrace, your warmth engulfing me
But it was not forever
Your warm hands left me

The rainbow was white
The colours were gone
just like the way you had left me
I wrapped myself in your favorite black jacket
And walked down the grey streets
the world, my world
reduced to this colourless and dull state
I never asked for

I want to meet this genie
and probably just get this one wish
to see you again
and be the one your smile is for

Sometimes I wonder
whyI’m reduced to this state
